Cleaning and Caring for Plush Toys

How to Properly Clean Your Teddy Bear 🧸

Basic Cleaning 🧼

  • Vacuuming and Brushing
If your teddy bear is only dusty, you can use a vacuum cleaner with low suction or a soft brush. 🧹
Carefully clean the surface to remove dust and dirt. 🧼
  • Stain Removal
To remove small stains, use a damp cloth with mild soap. 🧽
Avoid harsh chemicals to prevent damaging the fabric. ⚠️

Washing 🧺

  • Hand Washing (Recommended)
Fill a tub or sink with lukewarm water. 💧
Add a gentle detergent suitable for delicate fabrics. 🧴
Gently scrub the teddy with a sponge or soft brush. 🧽
Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue. 🚿
Gently press out excess water, but avoid wringing too hard to prevent damaging the stuffing. 💧

  • Machine Washing (If Fabric Allows)
If you want to wash the teddy in the washing machine, we recommend putting it in a protective bag to prevent damage. 🛍️
If you don’t have a bag, you can wash it with other similar items like towels to minimize fabric damage. 🚿
Use a gentle cycle (preferably hand wash or wool cycle). 🧺
Set the temperature to low (max 30°C). 🌡️
Use a small amount of mild detergent, and avoid adding fabric softener. 🧴
After washing, gently press out excess water using a towel. 🧻

Steam Cleaner 🌫️

  • Steam Cleaning
If you have a steam cleaner, you can use it to clean the teddy gently without soaking it. 💨
Set it to low or medium power and hold the steam nozzle a few centimeters above the surface of the teddy. 🌬️
The steam helps loosen dirt and refresh the fabric. ✨
Be careful not to let the steam come into direct contact with the fabric to avoid damaging or altering the texture. ⚠️
After steam cleaning, gently brush the teddy to keep the fibers fluffy. 💆‍♀️

Drying 🌬️

  • Air Drying is Best
Let the teddy air dry in a position that prevents deformation, ideally on a towel. 🧺
Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near a heat source. 🌞
If you want to speed up the drying process, you can use a blow dryer on a cool setting. 💨

Regular Maintenance 🧸✨

  • Routine Maintenance
To keep your teddy in good condition, regularly perform light cleaning with a brush or vacuum. 🧹
Occasional washing as needed will ensure your teddy stays clean and fresh. 🌿
If you notice small stains or dirt, remove them as soon as possible to prevent them from soaking deeper into the fabric. 💧
